Hi! I’m Karen Lewis and I have a huge passion for beautiful design. Some of my fondest memories from childhood involve creating and crafting things to hang on the fridge or on my bedroom walls.
In early 2000, while working as a training specialist for a management consulting firm in Austin, I was introduced to Adobe Photoshop and the rest, as they say, is history. I’ve been designing graphics, manipulating photos, and creating websites and blogs for clients every since.
I founded Simply Amusing Designs Studio in 2007 and have partnered with many small businesses, authors, and bloggers to help them put their best foot forward on the web.
Truly good design is about more than just a pretty face, however. I’ve spent the last three years studying blog and web metrics, design principles, useability and web standards to ensure that my clients have the best of both worlds.

When I’m not in the office, I can usually be found homeschooling my three kids or reading a good book. I enjoy art and music and teach Sign Language and Home Economics courses in our local homeschool co-op.
