Karen founded Simply Amusing Designs Studio in early 2007 and has partnered with many small businesses, authors, and bloggers to help them put their best foot forward on the web. Truly good design is about more than just a pretty face and Karen knows that.
She’s spent the last three years studying blog and web metrics, design principles, usability and web standards to ensure that her clients have the best of both worlds.

Melanie Nelson has a master’s degree in technical writing and has been working with online media since 1995.

She is a technology contributing editor at BlogHer and she has taught beginning blogging classes at conferences such as BlogHer, BlissDom, and I_Blog. Melanie also co-authored TypePad For Dummies (Wiley Publishing) which is due in stores in February, 2010.
